Lorenzo Ruiz

Lorenzo Ruiz is a Junior in Adams House studying Government at Harvard College and serves as President for the Institute of Politics at the Harvard Kennedy School. In this role, he focuses on elevating student voices, expanding engagement across campus, and stewarding the IOP’s mission of good governance and active citizenship. Lorenzo has previously worked on communications for the Harvard Votes Challenge and the IOP Fellows and Study Groups program, both as a digital content lead and a fellow liaison. He began his involvement with the IOP through the Campaigns and Advocacy Program and has remained an active member since. Outside the IOP, he is a longtime editor on The Harvard Crimson Editorial Board, where he writes a column on higher education politics and university governance. He has also worked on digital communications for House Ways and Means Committee Democrats and advises state and national advocacy campaigns on Gen Z media and messaging.
