The Xperiment is an opportunity to receive a minimum $100k investment in your startup. We're looking for a team committed to building its company full-time after graduation, whenever that may be.
For Winter 2025 selection, pitches for consideration must be submitted by 11:59pm ET on December 12th, 2025.
Xfund is the early-stage, university-founded, and focused venture capital firm dedicated to finding and supporting gifted entrepreneurs with a liberal arts mindset. Co-founded in a unique partnership with NEA, Accel and Harvard’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and open to everyone, Xfund devotes a family of investors and world experts unlike any other to help founders build important companies and technologies from their very earliest stages. Xfund is currently investing out of its $120m Xfund 3 focused on preseed and seed investing.
Together with BASES at Stanford, we've designed the Xperiment Stake for students who are serious about starting their companies full-time after graduation. Students will have the opportunity to lock in institutional funding before graduation, so that becoming an entrepreneur can be a reality.

Students at Stanford enrolled in any degree-granting undergraduate or graduate program is eligible to apply, no matter what year in the program you're in. Only one application per team is necessary.

Our team will review applications once per semester and pick a set of finalists for a live pitch with the Xfund Partners.

We will be reviewing applications once per semester. Application deadlines for each semester will be posted on our website.

The winning team will receive an offer for a minimum $100k+ SAFE investment, access to feedback and coaching from our team, and an opportunity to receive additional funding. The investment will not be disbursed until graduation, but a student at any stage in their schooling may apply.
